What do you fish for or harvest?
I own Core Sound Oyster Company. I also gill net for Blue Fish, Spanish Mackerel, Flounder, Sea Mullets and Spots

Why is commercial fishing important to you?
Not only is it how I make my living, but it provides a sense of self empowerment that I have to make it happen to make a living. It is also important to the Down East community and to my family that what few of us that are left are working and preserving a piece of our history and heritage. Making gear is a dying art and it takes a certain amount of know how to make things work right.

What’s your favorite thing about being a commercial fisherman?
The ability to set my own schedule and to decide what i want to do.

What’s your favorite kind of seafood? How do you like it prepared?
Fried shrimp and soft crabs.

If you were stranded on a desert island and had the option of bringing 3 things along, what would they be? A gill net, fire starter, and knife.
